The FSA published FSA Annual Report of the program year 2013 (in Japanese).
In program year 2013, from July 2013 through June 2014, the undertakings of FSA include i) measures to support an exit from deflationary stagnation and sustainable economic growth, and strengthen the financial basis of Japan under the policies of Abenomics, ii) measures to ensure the soundness and robustness of the financial system as a whole, and iii) measures to actively participate in and contribute to the discussions for global financial regulatory reform.
The FSA, with its mission to ensure the stability of Japan’s financial system, to protect the users of financial instruments and services, and to facilitate the smooth function of financial services, continues to enhance fairness and transparency of the financial administration.

The FSA updated the list of issuers who are repaying, have completed repaying or have announced the termination of use of prepaid payment instruments, as defined in the "Payment Services Act" (e.g. gift vouchers, gift certificates, and prepaid cards).

The Tokushima Local Finance Office of Shikoku Local Finance Bureau and the Bank of Japan’s Takamatsu branch issued the joint statement “Financial Measures to deal with disasters caused by the heavy snow that started on December 5th” to relevant financial institutions. The statement requests financial institutions in Tokushima Prefecture to appropriately deal with victims of the disaster considering their circumstances, such as by making the repayment of deposits flexible.
