January 22, 2016:

Publication of the agenda and handouts of the 135th meeting of the Compulsory Automobile Liability Insurance Council (1) (2) «Summary» The FSA published the agenda and handouts of the 135th meeting of the Compulsory Automobile Liability Insurance Council, which was held on January 21, 2016. In the meeting, the current premium rate for compulsory automobile liability insurance was kept for the FY 2016 (April 2016-March 2017).

January 22, 2016:

Administrative penalty charge against Ernst & Young ShinNihon LLC «Summary» On January 22, 2016, the FSA issued an order to impose an administrative penalty charge of more than 2.1 billion yen against Ernst & Young ShinNihon LLC. The audit firm was negligent and attested that the financial statement of TOSHIBA CORPORATION for FY 2011 (April 2011-March 2012) and FY 2012 (April 2012-March 2013) contained no material misstatement, when in fact the statement contained material misstatement.

January 22, 2016:

Administrative penalty charge against individuals for committing insider trading regarding the stocks of SUMITOMO CORPORATION (1) (2) «Summary» On January 21, 2016, the FSA issued orders to impose administrative penalty charges in two cases regarding the insider trading of SUMITOMO CORPORATION stocks for using information received from an officer of the company that concluded a contract with SUMITOMO CORPORATION.

January 19, 2016:	Forum on the promotion of funding for growing businesses in the regional economy to be held on February 12, 2016, in Nagoya City «Summary» On February 12, 2016, the FSA will hold the forum on the promotion of funding for growing businesses in the regional economy in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture. Inviting representatives from recently listed regional companies, regional venture firms, stock exchanges, securities firms, regional financial institutions, venture capitals, relevant administrative authorities, etc., this forum provides an opportunity to let them exchange views on various issues affecting the regional capital market and share good practices of funding for regional businesses.
January 19, 2016:	“Symposium on Protection against Financial Fraud” in Hiroshima City «Summary» On February 25, 2016, the FSA and the Chugoku Local Finance Bureau will jointly hold the “Symposium on Protection against Financial Fraud” in Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture. The Symposium is aimed at preventing consumers from getting involved in trouble related to financial fraud.
