January 30, 2025 | Publication of the agenda and handouts of the 11th meeting of the "Taskforce on Preparation of the Environment for Transition Finance" <Summary> The FSA published the agenda and handouts of the 11th meeting of the "Taskforce on Preparation of the Environment for Transition Finance," which was jointly held on January 24, 2025, by the FSA, METI (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry), and the MoE (Ministry of the Environment). The Taskforce members resumed discussions from the previous meeting on the way forward to the revision of the "Basic Guidelines on Climate Transition Finance," and discussed the establishment of a sub-working group on promotion of transition finance in Asia under the Taskforce. (hereinafter referred to as "the entity"), ordering the improvement of its business operations, pursuant to the "Insurance Business Act." The administrative action was based on the on-site inspection conducted by the FSA, where the entity was found to have been problematic mainly in terms of its operational management structure as an insurance agency, its insurance solicitation management system, and its customer information management system.
