The FSA proposed revisions to the comprehensive guidelines for supervision of major banks regarding regulation for risk retention in securitization transactions. The revision is based on "Global Developments in Securitization Regulation - Consultation Report" published in November 2012 by the International Organization of Securities Commissions.

The FSA published "Research on the Use of NISA Accounts." The research indicated that, as of June 30, 2014, there are more than 7.27 million NISA accounts in total, and over 1.56 trillion yen (approximately USD 14.6 billion*) was invested through the NISA accounts.

In the hearing, the defendant is prosecuted for committing insider trading by using information received from an employee of a contractor of Nippon Sheet Glass Co., Ltd.
