October 17, 2014:

Results of public comments on amendments to the comprehensive guidelines for supervision of major banks and of small and medium-sized or regional financial institutions «Summary» The FSA published the results of public comments on amendments to the comprehensive guidelines for supervision of major banks and of small and medium-sized or regional financial institutions pursuant to the revision of the "Financial Instruments and Exchange Act" in 2013, which will be enacted by December 2014. The amendments aim to accommodate the Basel Core Principles by tightening the large exposure restrictions.

October 14, 2014:

Publication of the revisions to the "Ordinance for the Enforcement of the Banking Act" «Summary» The FSA published the revisions to the "Ordinance for the Enforcement of the Banking Act" and other ordinances to accommodate the revisions to the "Act on Regional Economy Vitalization Corporation of Japan."

October 6, 2014:	Administrative penalty charge against Inspire Inc. for making false statements in securities reports «Summary» On October 3, 2014, the FSA issued an order to impose an administrative penalty charge against Inspire Inc. for making false statements in its securities reports.

October 15, 2014:	Updated list of issuers of gift certificates in repayment procedures based on the "Payment Services Act" «Summary» The FSA updated the list of issuers who are repaying, have completed repaying or have announced the termination of use of prepaid payment instruments, as defined in the "Payment Services Act" (e.g. gift vouchers, gift certificates, and prepaid cards).
October 14, 2014:	Warning against fraudulent offers to refund financial damage caused by bank transfer scams «Summary» The FSA updated the warning against fraudulent offer to refund financial damage caused by bank transfer scams. Recently, such phishing scams are committed as the fraudulent refund is pursuant to the "Criminal Accounts Damage Recovery Act."
