January 27, 2017:

Publication of the draft amendments to the “Order for Enforcement of the Shinkin Bank Act” «Summary» The FSA proposed the draft amendments to the “Order for Enforcement of the Shinkin Bank Act.” The proposal is to add incorporated national universities and inter-university research institutes to the list of non-member borrowers, which would allow shinkin banks, credit cooperatives or labor banks to make loans to such non-member borrowers.

January 25, 2017:

Publication of the draft amendments to the regulatory notice of the “Calculation Methods for Insurance Companies’ Stated Capitals, Funds, Reserves and Amount Equivalent to Risk Not Normally Predictable” «Summary» The FSA proposed the draft amendments to the regulatory notice of the “Calculation Methods for Insurance Companies’ Stated Capitals, Funds, Reserves and Amount Equivalent to Risk Not Normally Predictable.” The proposal mainly aims to ensure that insurance companies appropriately measure the amount equivalent to risks associated with derivatives trading (transactions) in calculating their solvency margin rates.
