The draft Order, Ordinance and Guidelines update the rules regarding insurance solicitors' obligations to provide adequate information to customers, try to accommodate the customers’ intentions, and develop the compliance system for appropriate insurance solicitation.

On February 17, 2015, the FSA proposed draft amendments to the Regulatory Notice of "The Designated IFRSs” stipulated in the "Regulation for Terminology, Forms and Preparation of Consolidated Financial Statements." The amendments add the international accounting standards published by the International Accounting Standards Board between July 1 and December 31, 2014, to the list of designated IFRSs that can be used in Japan.

From the end of March 2015, the regulations on the liquidity coverage ratio for internationally active banks will be implemented. The FSA will finalize the “Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision of Major Banks” and “Inspection Manuals” after a one-month public consultation.

The Financial Services Agency and the Bank of Japan announced 18 individuals and 1 group for their contributions in advancing financial literacy.
In order to further promote the activities to advance literacy regarding finance and the economy, the awards are given to individuals and groups for their outstanding contributions in advancing and improving the nation's financial literacy by the Minister for Financial Services and the Governor of the Bank of Japan.
