Administrative action against MONEY SQUARE JAPAN, INC. (Kanto Local Finance Bureau) < Summary> The Kanto Local Finance Bureau took an administrative action against MONEY SQUARE JAPAN, INC. (Type I financial instruments business operator), ordering the improvement of its business operations pursuant to the “Financial Instruments and Exchange Act.” This administrative action is due to the entity’s insufficient security management system regarding the protection of customer information, which was found in the report submitted by the entity to the Kanto Local Finance Bureau on the leak of personal information at the entity caused by cyber-attacks through unauthorized network access.

An updated list of entities that are operating financial instruments businesses without proper registration (Kanto Local Finance Bureau) < Summary> The FSA and the Kanto Local Finance Bureau issued warnings to entities that are operating financial instruments businesses without proper registration. July 28, 2017:	Request for financial measures to deal with disasters caused by the heavy rain which started on July 22, 2017 (The Akita Local Finance Office of the Tohoku Local Finance Bureau) < Summary> The Akita Local Finance Office of the Tohoku Local Finance Bureau and the Bank of Japan’s Akita branch issued a joint statement titled “Financial Measures to deal with disasters caused by the heavy rain which started on July 22, 2017” to the relevant financial institutions. The statement requests financial institutions in Akita Prefecture to appropriately deal with victims of the disaster considering their circumstances, such as by making the repayment of deposits flexible.
July 28, 2017:	The first publication of the list of financial institutions signing up to the “Principles for Customer-Oriented Business Conduct” and publicizing their respective customer-oriented business approaches < Summary> The FSA published the list of financial institutions signing up to the “Principles for Customer-Oriented Business Conduct” and publicizing their respective customer-oriented business approaches by the end of June 2017 in order to visualize financial institutions’ initiatives and efforts.
