Publication of the draft amendments to the regulatory notices and guidelines pertaining to Pillar 3 disclosure requirements in respect of the review of interest rate monitoring methods  < Summary> The FSA proposed the draft amendments to the regulatory notices and guidelines pertaining to Pillar 3 disclosure requirements in respect of the review of interest rate monitoring methods, following the regulatory notices and guidelines pertaining to the Pillar 3 disclosure requirements and monitoring of interest rate risks which were updated in December 2017. The proposal mainly pertains to the disclosure of interest rate risks of banks subject to domestic standards.

Publication of the finalized cabinet office order to amend the “Regulation on Terminology, Forms and Preparation Methods of Consolidated Financial Statements”  < Summary> The FSA finalized a cabinet office order to amend the “Regulation on Terminology, Forms and Preparation Methods of Consolidated Financial Statements,” following the ASBJ’s publication of an accounting standard for revenue recognition (ASBJ Statement No.29) and its implementation guidance (ASBJ Guidance No.30). The order was enforced on June 8, 2018.

June 8, 2018	Warnings about entities that are operating money lending businesses without proper registration  < Summary> The FSA (Local Finance Bureaus) updated warnings about entities that are operating money lending businesses without proper registration. The warnings include the updated list of entities that misrepresent their registration using fictitious or stolen registration numbers.
June 7, 2018	Administrative action against FSHO Kabushiki Kaisha* (The Kanto Local Finance Bureau)  < Summary> The Kanto Local Finance Bureau took an administrative action against FSHO Kabushiki Kaisha*, refusing the registration of the entity pursuant to the “Payment Services Act.” This administrative action is based on the findings from the FSA’s on-site and off-site inspections, in which the entity was found to have fallen into the category of “entities that fail to develop a business management structure to ensure virtual currency exchange service in an appropriate and reliable manner.”   * This corporate name is not available in English and is the Romanized version of its Japanese name.
June 6, 2018	The 11th Consultation Meeting in relation to the Multiple Debt Problem and Consumer Finance  < Summary> On June 8, 2018, the FSA and the Consumer Affairs Agency jointly held the 11th Consultation Meeting related to the Multiple Debt Problem and Consumer Finance. The consultation meeting was held to follow up the status on lenders and borrowers as part of the measures based on the “Program to Remedy the Multiple Debt Problem.”
