The FSA published the results of the public consultation on the draft partial amendment to the Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision of Financial Instruments Business Operators, etc. In consideration of frequently occurring damage in internet transaction services due to unauthorized access and unauthorized transactions (transactions by third parties) using customer information (login IDs and passwords, etc.) that perpetrators stole through fake websites (phishing websites) disguised as existing official websites of securities companies, the amendments are mainly intended to strengthen authentication methods in internet transactions and fraud prevention measures.
