July 31, 2019 | Publication of the finalized "Cabinet Order to Respectively Amend the Cabinet Order on Travel Expenses and Allowances Payable to Witnesses and Expert Witnesses in Trial Procedures, etc. under the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, and the Cabinet Order on Travel Expenses and Allowances Payable to Witnesses and Expert Witnesses in Trial Procedures of the Certified Public Accountants Act" <Summary> The FSA finalized the "Cabinet Order to Respectively Amend the Cabinet Order on Travel Expenses and Allowances Payable to Witnesses and Expert Witnesses in Trial Procedures, etc. under the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, and the Cabinet Order on Travel Expenses and Allowances Payable to Witnesses and Expert Witnesses in Trial Procedures of the Certified Public Accountants Act." The finalized Cabinet Order has raised the maximum amount of daily allowances payable to witnesses and expert witnesses in trial procedures under the said respective Acts by 50 yen, taking into account the current changes in socioeconomic circumstances. The Cabinet Order was enforced on August 1, 2019. |

The FSA has published statistics that include the number of information sharing on cases regarding unauthorized use of bank accounts until June 30, 2019 since September 2003, along with the corresponding actions taken by financial institutions. |
