The FSA published the number of debtors and the amount of debts of which the contractual repayment has been suspended following the Great East Japan Earthquake. The data was collected through hearings with financial institutions in the three prefectures that were most heavily damaged by the earthquake (Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima).

Kinki Local Finance Bureau took an administrative action against Zai Consulting Co., Ltd. The administrative action orders Zai Consulting Co., Ltd. to improve its business operations. This administrative action is based on a recommendation from the Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission (SESC) as a result of their on-site inspection. The SESC identified that Zai Cousulting's employees were working as sales representatives without appropriate registration.

The FSA issued a warning against cold callings and phishing emails asking for personal information. The callers often pretend to be research institutes, and say that they were notified by the FSA about the skimming of the targeted individual's personal information.
The FSA does not publish the personal information of skimming victims or provide information regarding skimming to such research institutes.
