June 6, 2014:	Publication of draft revisions of relevant Orders to designate renewable energy generating facilities and right to operate public facilities as eligible investment assets of Investment Trusts and Investment Corporations «Summary» The FSA proposed draft revisions to the Order for Enforcement of the Act on Investment Trusts and Investment Corporations to designate renewable energy generating facilities and right to operate public facilities as Specified Assets that are eligible investment assets of investment trusts and investment corporations.
June 6, 2014:	Results of public comments regarding the revision of the Order on book-entry transfer of corporate bonds and shares corresponding to the introduction of the "Social Security and Tax Number System" «Summary» The FSA published the results of public comments regarding a revision of the Order on book-entry transfer of corporate bonds and shares corresponding to the introduction of the "Social Security and Tax Number System", a numbering system to identify individuals in administrative procedures.
June 4, 2014:	Results of public comments regarding revisions of the "Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision of Major Banks" and "Financial Inspection Manual" «Summary» In order to promote financial institution’s efforts to sever relationships with antisocial groups, and to encourage the appointment of outside directors in listed banks, the FSA proposed to revise "Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision of Major Banks" and "Financial Inspection Manual." On June 4, 2014, the FSA published the results of public comments regarding the draft revisions of the guidelines and the manual, and began implementation of the guidelines as of that date.
June 2, 2014:	Results of public comments regarding revisions of the "Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision of Major Banks" «Summary» The FSA published the results of public comments regarding revisions of the "Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision of Major Banks". It aims to enhance the efforts of global systemically important banks (G-SIBs) to fully comply with the “Principles for effective risk data aggregation and risk reporting," and require some large banks to disclose the indicators for assessing and identifying G-SIBs. No changes will be made to the original proposal.

June 6, 2014:	Overview of regional banks’ financial results as of March 31, 2014 «Summary» FSA published the overview of regional banks’ financial results as of March 31, 2014, based on the reports from regional banks.
June 4, 2014:	Publication of a reference casebook on "Guidelines for Personal Guarantee Provided by Business Owners" «Summary» The FSA published a reference casebook to promote favorable practices of financial institutions in utilizing the "Guidelines for Personal Guarantee Provided by Business Owners," which was introduced in February 2014.

June 6, 2014:	Euler Hermes Europe SA is granted foreign non-life insurance business license «Summary» On June 6, 2014, the FSA granted a foreign non-life insurance business license to Euler Hermes Europe S.A. (N.V.) pursuant to the Insurance Business Act, Article 185, paragraph (1).

Securities

June 6, 2014:	Warning issued against EA Architects Co., Ltd. (Kinki Local Finance Bureau) «Summary» The FSA (Kinki Local Finance Bureau) issued a warning to EA Architects Co., Ltd. for operating financial instruments business without proper registration.
June 6, 2014:	Administrative action against Chart Master Inc. (Kanto Local Finance Bureau) «Summary» On June 6, 2014, the Director-General of Kanto Local Finance Bureau issued an administrative action against Chart Master Inc. based on a recommendation from the Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission (SESC). The SESC identified the violation of law by Chart Master Inc. through on-site inspection.
June 6, 2014:	Warning issued against UAG Co., Ltd. (Kinki Local Finance Bureau) «Summary» The FSA (Kinki Local Finance Bureau) issued a warning to UAG Co., Ltd., a qualified institutional investor investment business, for operating financial instruments business without proper registration.

June 6, 2014:

Updated list of issuers of gift certificates in repayment procedures based on the Payment Services Act «Summary» The FSA updated the list of issuers who are repaying or have completed repaying or announced the termination of use of prepaid payment instruments, as defined in the Payment Services Act (e.g. gift vouchers, gift certificates and prepaid cards).

June 2, 2014:

Year-round application period to be introduced for the scholarship program funded by funds confiscated pursuant to the "Criminal Accounts Damage Recovery Act" «Summary» From June 2, 2014, the scholarship program funded by funds confiscated from bank accounts used in crimes pursuant to the "Criminal Accounts Damage Recovery Act" will accept applications throughout the year (the previous application window was about two months per year).
