August 29, 2014:	Results of public comments on revisions to the "Order for Enforcement of the Money Lending Business Act" «Summary» The FSA published the results of public comments on the revisions to the "Order for Enforcement of the Money Lending Business Act." The revision stipulates to delegate a part of the authority entrusted to the FSA commissioner by the prime minister to the director generals of Local Finance Bureaus. Specifically, the revision delegates the authority to hear opinions of the Commissioner General of the National Police Agency in the registration process. No changes will be made to the original proposal.
August 29, 2014:	Results of public comments on the amendment to relevant Orders to designate renewable energy generating facilities and right to operate public facilities as eligible investment assets of Investment Trusts and Investment Corporations «Summary» The FSA published the results of public comments on the amendment to the "Order for Enforcement of the Act on Investment Trusts and Investment Corporations" to designate renewable energy generating facilities and right to operate public facilities as eligible investment assets of investment trusts and investment corporations.
August 27, 2014:	Results of public comments on amendments to the Guideline for the Disclosure of Corporate Affairs «Summary» The FSA published the results of amendments to the "Points to be Considered Regarding Disclosure of Corporate Affairs (Guideline for the Disclosure of Corporate Affairs)." The proposed amendment clarifies the acts that do not constitute "pre-filing offer" and abolishes the waiting period (the period between the submission of the securities registration statement and the point when it becomes effective) for certain well-known issuers.

August 29, 2014:	Figures regarding suspended repayments following the Great East Japan Earthquake (as of May 31, 2014) «Summary» The FSA published the number of debtors and the amount of debts of which the contractual repayment has been suspended following the Great East Japan Earthquake, based on hearings with financial institutions in the three prefectures most heavily affected by the earthquake (Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima).
August 27, 2014:	Publication of statistics regarding unlawful reimbursement of deposits «Summary» The FSA published statistics on unlawful reimbursement of deposits involving counterfeit and stolen cash cards, stolen deposit books, and unlawful internet banking activities. The statistics include details of incidents and compensation made by financial institutions based on the reports from financial institutions.
August 27, 2014:	Publication of a summary of the survey on financial institutions' preventive measures against unlawful reimbursement of deposits (as of March 31, 2014) «Summary» The FSA published a summary of the survey on financial institutions' preventive measures against unlawful reimbursement of deposits as of the end of fiscal 2013. In order to grasp the status of enforcement of the "Act on Protection of Depositors and Postal Saving Holders from Unauthorized Automated Withdrawal, Using Counterfeit Cards, and Stolen Cards," the FSA collects information annually from financial institutions and publishes the summary.

August 29, 2014:	Publication of statistics regarding over-the-counter (OTC) derivative transactions (as of June 30, 2014) «Summary» The FSA published, pursuant to the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, the aggregated figures of outstanding OTC derivative transactions in Japan as of June 30, 2014. The figures are based on the reports from Financial Instruments Business Operators.
August 29, 2014:	Administrative penalty charge against Juggernaut Capital Management Pte. Ltd. for market manipulation concerning the stocks of RISE Inc. «Summary» On August 1, 2014, the FSA issued an order to impose an administrative penalty charge against Juggernaut Capital Management Pte. Ltd. for manipulating the market by trading a large amount of stocks of RISE Inc.
August 29, 2014:	Administrative penalty charge against Japan Wind Development Co., Ltd. for making false statements in securities reports «Summary» On August 28, 2014, the FSA issued an order to impose an administrative penalty charge against Japan Wind Development Co., Ltd. for making false statements in its securities reports.
August 27, 2014:	Updated list of qualified institutional investors who are operating financial instruments business without proper registration (Kanto Local Finance Bureau) «Summary» The FSA (Kanto Local Finance Bureau) issued warnings to qualified institutional investors who are operating financial instruments business without proper registration.

August 27, 2014:	Authorization of the merger of Sompo Japan Insurance Inc. and Nipponkoa Insurance Co., Ltd. «Summary» The FSA authorized the merger of Sompo Japan Insurance Inc. and Nipponkoa Insurance Co., Ltd. pursuant to the Insurance Business Act.

August 29, 2014:	Update of the measures taken in response to the Great East Japan Earthquake «Summary» The FSA updated the current status of measures taken by the FSA, local finance bureaus, and financial institutions in response to the Great East Japan Earthquake.
August 29, 2014:	Revision to the FSA contingency plan for natural disasters «Summary» The FSA revised its contingency plan for natural disasters based on the "Basic Act on Disaster Control Measures."
August 29, 2014:	Updated statistics of money lending business «Summary» The FSA updated the statistics regarding money lending business, as of July 31, 2014.

The additional information will be updated on the website.
August 28, 2014:	Updated list of issuers of gift certificates in repayment procedures based on the "Payment Services Act" «Summary» The FSA updated the list of issuers who are repaying, have completed repaying or have announced the termination of use of prepaid payment instruments, as defined in the "Payment Services Act" (e.g. gift vouchers, gift certificates, and prepaid cards).
August 28, 2014:	The second meeting of the Council of Experts Concerning the Corporate Governance Code «Summary» On September 4, 2014, the FSA and Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. will hold the second meeting of the Council of Experts Concerning the Corporate Governance Code. The meeting starts from 16:00 and expected to last for two hours. The application method for observation is available on the website.
August 25, 2014:	Special regulatory measures based on the System of Special Arrangements for Corporate Field Tests pursuant to the "Industrial Competitiveness Enhancement Act" «Summary» The FSA published the details of the special regulatory measures to be provided pursuant to the "Payment Services Act" requested by the Chamber of Commerce based on the System of Special Arrangements for Corporate Field Tests pursuant to the "Industrial Competitiveness Enhancement Act."
August 25, 2014:	Application for observation of the second meeting of the Council of Experts on the Corporate Governance Code «Summary» Observation of the second meeting of the Council of Experts on the Corporate Governance Code is allowed to applicants on a first come, first-served basis. The date of the meeting and the application methods will appear on the FSA's website in the week before the meeting.
