October 3, 2025	The FSA published the draft Cabinet Office Order Partially Amending the Regulation for Enforcement of the Act on Emergency Measures for the Revitalization of the Financial Function, etc. In consideration of the fact that the content of the materials required to be submitted under the Banking Act, etc. overlaps with the content of the report on asset assessment, etc. required to be submitted under the Regulation for Enforcement of the Act on Emergency Measures for the Revitalization of the Financial Function, the draft Cabinet Office Order aims to amend the Appended Forms of the relevant Regulations for Enforcement and make it possible to replace the submission of a report on asset assessment, etc. with the submission of a similar report or materials The original press release is available in Japanese.

September 30, 2025	The FSA published information on public consultation on the draft Cabinet Order concerning the amendment of the Insurance Business Act in 2025. The draft Cabinet Order aims to rearrange provisions of the relevant Cabinet Order in relation to the Act Partially Amending the Insurance Business Act, which was enacted on May 30, 2025. The major contents amended are as follows: ・An obligation equal to the obligation imposed on specified large-scale omnibus non-life insurance representatives to require the development of an appropriate business operation system, which was incorporated in the amended Act, is to be imposed on life insurance agents, which are large-scale omnibus agents. ・As measures to promote the utilization of insurance brokers, the minimum amount of security deposits, etc. are to be reduced for insurance brokers. ・Other required amendments The original press release is available in Japanese.
