What was your experience like at GLOPAC?
I gain a lot of knowledge regarding international standards and practices in capital market such as regulatory framework and market operation. Moreover, this Program gives eye-opening experience to Fellows as we can learn not only from Japan but also other Fellows. I think global network among regulators would be very valuable asset.

What is the most important thing you learned?
All sessions presented by JFSA officials and other experts are very informative and effective to me and my organization. Personally, Public Offering is the most important thing as it is one of my areas of interest.

How are you applying what you learned?
I will share the knowledge gained from the Program with my colleagues. To be more specific, I would like to introduce the supervisory process of ecosystem involving stock exchange and securities companies. I also recognized the importance of investor protection and would like to apply what I have learned from the Program.

What would you like to tell people who are considering applying?
I recommend you this Program because it provides a lot of useful information, knowledge and best practices in capital market.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
I would like to thank the JFSA for offering such a great Program.

What was your experience like at GLOPAC?
It is a quite remarkable and memorable experience I am earning regarding securities market of Japan and also lessons from other Fellows’ countries. It is a great opportunity to learn about Japanese securities market's experience, practice, regulatory frameworks and structure. In a short period of time, I have learned different aspects of Japanese securities market, which will be reference to my professional career. I found all related persons including presenters, other Fellows and GLOPAC secretariat very friendly, cooperative and expert in their respective fields.

What is the most important thing you learned?
All sessions were very important, valuable and informative. Among these, the most important thing I learned is about overview of financial education initiatives in Japan and financial literacy evaluation methodology, outline of Japan Investor Protection Fund and financial alternative dispute resolution system.

How are you applying what you learned?
Currently, I am working for the regulation department so I will apply my gained knowledge in my regular work and I will also share the knowledge and experiences with my supervisors and colleagues. Furthermore, I would like to contribute a lot to policy making process.

What would you like to tell people who are considering applying?
I definitely encourage the people to apply for this program. It is very much beneficial program to all securities market regulators to enhance the practical knowledge and capacity about securities market.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
The GLOPAC Fellowship Program held by the Financial Services Agency, the Government of Japan, is very much informative as this provides the great opportunity to learn about Japan's current laws and regulation, its legal provision, regulatory framework and supervisory practices and overview of securities market of Japan. Interactions with other fellows and knowledge sharing has also added value.

What was your experience like at GLOPAC?
The GLOPAC Fellowship Program is designed to cover wide range of topics and issues in Japanese financial market based on areas of interest of the Fellows in a group, and I have been learning those from every angle. Furthermore, I have obtained useful knowledge and interested comments from other participants who are also financial regulators from around the world such as Asia and Africa.

What is the most important thing you learned?
Each country has different laws and regulations. There is no specific regulation that could fit for all markets. Therefore, it is essential to understand the reasons behind the regulations or key principles of the regulations, and this Program has provided me with such information.

How are you applying what you learned?
I have compared regulations in Thailand and Japan, in order to further develop and improve Thai regulations. I have also shared my knowledge with colleagues in my organization.

What would you like to tell people who are considering applying?
It will be a great opportunity to expand your views and knowledge. This Program will assist you in exploring financial systems in Japan and other countries since you will get to know new friends, not only from the JFSA but also from foreign financial authorities.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
The 18th GLOPAC Fellowship Program is a very special group since we have to attend the Program 100% virtually as Phase 2 of the Program, which was supposed to be conducted face-to-face, are now being conducted virtually due to Covid-19. I actually think in-person training would be better and hope all participants of the 18th group could have a chance to meet in Tokyo to strengthen our relationships as well as directly meeting with officials of the JFSA. Lastly, I would like to thank the JFSA for this great opportunity.

What was your experience like at GLOPAC?
GLOAPC is once in a lifetime opportunity for discussing with the world leading officials, experts and Fellows in the capital market. JFSA officials are highly professional, disciplined and enthusiastic.

What is the most important thing you learned?
We digest various valuable lessons that presented by JFSA officials, experts and Fellows. For me, the most influential thing always kept in my mind is the strategies that facilitate Japan becoming one of the world largest financial markets.

How are you applying what you learned?
I certainly would like to share my learnings with colleagues. Also, the valuable supervision experiences would be submitted to the Chairman of the SSC to approve the most available application in the Vietnamese securities market. At the same time, the effective securities market supervision methods would be proposed to upgrade to the transparent, equal and effective securities market assurance.

What would you like to tell people who are considering applying?
The Program is fantastic to further expand your knowledge and human network with professionals in the world capital market.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
I would like to sincerely thank the GLOPAC secretariat members for their great assistance. I am more than happy to continue our great relationships even after the completion of the Program.
