Publication of the finalized amendments to the FSA’s regulatory notice of the “designated IFRSs” < Summary> The FSA finalized the amendments to the regulatory notice of the “designated IFRSs” stipulated in the “Regulation for Terminology, Forms and Preparation of Consolidated Financial Statements.” The amendments were enforced on March 16, 2018.

Publication of the finalized amendments to regulatory notices and guidelines pertaining to Pillar 3 requirements of capital adequacy, liquidity coverage ratio, and remuneration < Summary> The FSA finalized the amendments to the regulatory notices and guidelines pertaining to disclosure requirements regarding capital adequacy, liquidity coverage ratio, and remuneration. The amendments update the disclosure requirements for internationally active banks based on the BCBS Standards: Pillar 3 disclosure requirements – consolidated and enhanced framework which was published in March 2017.

Publication of statistics regarding unlawful reimbursement of deposits < Summary> The FSA published statistics regarding unlawful reimbursement of deposits caused by counterfeit and stolen cash cards, stolen deposit books, and unlawful Internet banking activities. The statistics include details of incidents and compensation made by financial institutions based on reports from the financial institutions.

Publication of “Statistics of NISA and Junior NISA Accounts” (preliminary figures) as of December 2017 < Summary> The FSA published “Statistics of NISA and Junior NISA Accounts” (preliminary figures).  As of December 31, 2017, there were approximately 11.0 million NISA accounts in total, and approximately 12.5 trillion yen (approximately 117.4 billion USD) was invested through the NISA accounts. In addition, 66.4 billion yen (approximately 624.5 million USD) was invested through 260 thousand Junior NISA accounts.

March 16, 2018	Publication of an outline of key comments received at the “Contact for Financial Policies Monitor,” a neutral third-party comprised of external experts < Summary> To ensure the effectiveness and transparency of the Financial Policies Monitor System, the FSA published an outline of key comments newly received at the “Contact for Financial Policies Monitor,” a neutral third-party comprised of external experts, from April to December 2017. The outline also includes corresponding actions taken (or to be taken) by the FSA.
March 16, 2018	The second project selected for “FinTech PoC (Proof-of-Concept) Hub” < Summary> The FSA selected the second PoC project which fulfilled all requirements to provide its support through “FinTech PoC Hub.” (This PoC project is related to the “Act on Prevention of Transfer of Criminal Proceeds.”)
