“I highly recommend this Program for all the financial and insurance regulators.”

Introductory presentation >

What was your experience like at GLOPAC?
The opportunity to be a participant in this Program is definitely unique. This Fellowship Program is special to me due to the reason that unlike other programs it is designed according to my areas of interest which helps me to expand my knowledge, explore new methods and techniques of supervision in addition to learning from the open discussions between presenters and Fellows. The presenters have demonstrated high level of professionalism in delivering and clarifying information to the Fellows and the contents of each session are inclusive and extensive.

What is the most important thing you learned?
All the sessions were informative and beneficial for me, and the most important things that I have learned so far are the regulations that oversight the insurance market in Japan, process of the on-site inspection and off-site supervision, solvency margin ratio calculation and roles of the JFSA and other associations.

How are you applying what you learned?
After the completion of the Program, I will share what I have learned with my colleagues regarding the supervisory process, solvency margin calculations, policyholders’ protection, etc. Furthermore, I would like to make a comparison of the regulations and methods applied in Japan with what is already applied in Egypt to figure out and assess what we can include in our supervision system.

What would you like to tell people who are considering applying?
I highly recommend this Program for all the financial and insurance regulators, as it gives a comprehensive view of the Japanese insurance market, roles of the JFSA and regulations applied in Japan. Moreover, the Program offers a chance to exchange experience in a live discussion with other Fellows from different countries. The Fellowship Program helps to expand not only the technical experience and skills but also enhancing personal skills, thus I would like to urge the regulators not to hesitate and apply for this outstanding Program.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
I would like to thank the JFSA for offering this Fellowship Program and the GLOPAC secretariat for their professionalism in organizing the Program from the admission phase until now as well as their kind assistance and support during each stage. Moreover, I hope to meet all of them in person very soon.
