“If you have the opportunity to apply in the GLOPAC Fellowship program, do not think twice. Grab it!”

Introductory presentation >

What was your experience like at GLOPAC?
I had an amazing time learning from resource speakers who are expert in their respective fields. I appreciate that the topics were discussed in detail with practical applications to wrap up the sessions. Accordingly, the program exceeded my expectations.

What is the most important thing you learned?
Among other things, I find the discussion on the measures of crypto-asset exchange very interesting, since crypto currencies are not yet regulated in the Philippines. Further, I was also educated about Romance Scam, which has apparently become rampant and the rapid increase in aging rate of Japan.

How are you applying what you learned?
Since we are in the process of creating policies, circulars, rules and regulations in connection to the Revised Corporation Code (RCC) in the Philippines, I plan to introduce the procedures, policies and regulations of the JFSA, which was presented to us during our virtual sessions. This allows us to benchmark on the best practices in Japan.

What would you like to tell people who are considering applying?
If you have the opportunity to apply in the GLOPAC Fellowship program, do not think twice. Grab it! Opportunity knocks only once. I assure you that you will not regret it.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
I am grateful to be part of this GLOPAC Community surrounded by hardworking, amiable and accommodating organizers. I thank the team behind this brilliant fellowship program with topics tailored to the needs of its fellows. While the lectures were conducted online due to COVID, seamless discussion was made possible. Although, I would have loved to experience the sessions face to face and meet in person my co-fellows.
