Publication of the finalized amendments to the “Cabinet Office Order on Disclosure of Corporate Affairs” < Summary> The FSA finalized the amendments to the “Cabinet Office Order on Disclosure of Corporate Affairs” based on the proposal presented in the Report by the “Working Group on Corporate Disclosure” of the Financial System Council, which was published in April 2016. The amendments endorse the common application of the reporting contents of major shareholders status in annual securities reports and business reports.

Publication of the draft amendments to the “Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision of Major Banks, etc.” and the “Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision of Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Regional Financial Institutions” < Summary> The FSA proposed the draft amendments to the “Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision of Major Banks, etc.” and the “Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision of Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Regional Financial Institutions.” The proposal aims to clarify that banks and their subsidiaries may conduct recruitment services for their corporate clients.

The FSA conducted the on-site monitoring as part of the implementation of an in-depth fact-finding as to whether banks conduct appropriate consumer loans.

January 26, 2018	Administrative penalty charge against an individual for committing insider trading and communicating insider information regarding stocks of NJK Corporation by using received insider information < Summary> On January 25, 2018, the FSA issued an order to impose an administrative penalty charge against an individual for committing insider trading regarding stocks of NJK Corporation by using information received as an employee of a tender offeror (NTT DATA Corporation) of NJK Corporation and for communicating insider information regarding implementation of a tender offer of shares of NJK Corporation to an individual who used the information and committed insider trading.  *: NJK Corporation was delisted in August 2016.
