In relation to the Act Partially Amending the Insurance Business Act (Act No. 54 of 2025) enacted on May 30, 2025, the provisions of the Regulation for Enforcement of the Insurance Business Act and other relevant provisions are to be rearranged. Accompanying this, the Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision for Insurance Companies, etc. are also to be rearranged as required. The amended Comprehensive Guidelines will become applicable from Monday, June 1, 2026, which is the enforcement date for the Amended Insurance Business Act.

The report of the Expert Panel on Structural Issues and Competition in the Non-Life Insurance Sector, which was published on June 25, 2024, made recommendations on insurance companies' internal structures for the management of payment of insurance proceeds, etc. and for the promotion of business operations, and the report of the Working Group on Regulatory System Especially for Non-Life Insurance Business of the Financial System Council, which was published on December 25, 2024, made recommendations on collaboration between insurance agencies and insurance brokers and other matters. Based on the details of these recommendations, the Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision for Insurance Companies was also amended as required. The amended Comprehensive Guidelines will become applicable from Monday, June 1, 2026.
